Our vision is to collaborate with other creatives, to see their work come to life in front of the camera in a way that actors can interact with props in real time, which allows for better storytelling rather than relying on CGI. We also know that expensive production time is taken up between each take because props need to be reset; worse still if a prop is missed, and the take has to be cleaned up in post-production. Time doesn't just cost money, it takes actors and crew out of flow, that's why we have created the infrastructure that allows props to be instantly set to their requirement and reset.
Your Motivated Props actually work - displaying story motivated values and responding with believable real world physics helps the cast portray the story better. We are always learning and adapting in order to meet client needs. Whatever your requirement is, even if it's the creation of a physical device, we are able to deliver.
Do we make props? This is mostly a NO, but we often walk a mile in prop makers shoes. For two reason: a) to understand the challenges, b) to build demonstrators for our modules.
Our terminology: Physical Props What you'd expect, the physical props that the audience sees, like clocks, gauges, counters, pulses, motors, servos etc. Virtual Props Props delivered through another medium, for example - control of content on a webrowser or controlled video played on a monitor. Grip Equipement Used to control everything the camera doesn't directly see e.g. Practical Lighting, Movements, Wind generators and the like.
